| The second one I found was Mission San Antonio located on the back side of Big Sur. This was on Heart's Hunting Grounds - He eventually gave the Mission back to the Catholics and donated the surrounding land to the military where they have a base and practice military tactics. |
There are 21 Missions that have been renovated in California. The first one I found was in Carmel.
