I'm trying to only include photos of my own art on this site so I don't confuse anyone. I will be adding links to other artists that I'm drawn to and/or have been inspired by. Below are a few local artists Liz Kramer and Amy Clay. Both have encaustic work - Amy uses more earth tones and Liz uses a lot of color. I was walking downtown and passed by a window and saw this really interesting painting with red dots - as it ended up it was one of Liz's which I discovered years later when talking to her at an Open Studio event. Enjoy!

For the Birds
This is the almost completed verstion. The background is simply white. I guess I need to look into improving my photography. I'll complete by painting the background with white paint for now it's just the canvas.

For the Birds
This Summer I became extremely interested in birds. I love to hike where the birds are singing - for simply listening to their songs. I started to paint small bird pictures. I wanted them to be fun and more abstract. This is a fun little sketch that to me seemed to show emotion between these two. In these blogs I also want to show how some of my paintings evolve. I didn't do to much more with this one as I liked the simplicity.
